The Heritage Group Accelerator - Marketing & Communication Intern

The Heritage Group (THG) Accelerator is looking for a motivated marketing and communication student, who is ready for hands-on experience, including blog posts, social media content, newsletter articles, and more. It is a very exciting and unique opportunity to work directly with startups and founders. You will work closely with the Accelerator Team to create dynamic content for the startups that tells their brand story across our various channels.

Timeline: Application closes on Monday, May 9th at Noon
Paid Late Summer/Fall Internship: August 15th - November 15th (Flexible). Hours ranging from 10-30hrs/week as needed. Summer hours will be acceptable upon the intern's availability and the need.

Location: This position is based in Indianapolis and will require work at The Center

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a loyal, dependable partner to the Accelerator team members, colleagues, and startups.
  • Brainstorm ideas using external research and best practices.
  • Develop, write, and edit the engaging blog, website, internal newsletter, and social content for the startups.
  • Analyze analytics to gauge the success of both internal and external campaigns.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to identify consumer trends.

  • Organized with ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Aptitude with various social media platforms as well as the data tracking tools associated with them.
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • In 3rd or 4th year of a college program
  • Prior marketing or communication experience preferred
  • Video editing (preferred but not required)
  • Writing samples required
