Art Production Technician

We are hiring a team member to join our Production team. Under the direction of the Art and

Production Manager, this role involves full days of carefully installing stabilized mosses and foliage

onto different mediums and other custom pieces while standing and using various production tools,

as well as regularly participating in off-site project installations. You will be instructed on each custom

project’s design parameters and be asked to follow detailed instructions. Production team members

must be able to work with their hands, have an eye for detail, be efficient, have good common sense,

and improvise as needed while following best practices and safety standards.

Requirements:

● Must have strong attention to detail, excellent work ethic, high quality standards and consistent

tidiness

● Must be comfortable working with hot glue guns and basic hand tools for a full day.

● Must be comfortable driving modern larger vehicles (pickup trucks and vans) in East Bay and

San Francisco to visit client plant installations

● Able to stand up for the entire day, lift up to 45 pounds, be comfortable manipulating medium

sized tools for a full day and squatting and bending down for long periods of time

● Use Google Suite, including Docs, Calendar and Gmail

● Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude, a willingness to follow direction, and the

ability to work both with others and independently

● Following detailed design plans while applying preserved plants

● Preparing projects and materials for installations, including: packing up projects, gathering

appropriate tools, and loading company vehicles

● Going to installations to help hang/install pieces

● Being mindful of your tools and staying safe while on the job

● Install large pieces in sections and seaming together on location

● Install large quantities of live plants on location per design layout

● Assisting with weekly plant maintenance around the studio

● Assembling CNC and laser cut logos, lettering, and integrating into moss walls

● Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of entire studio and company vehicles

● Wrapping and planting live plants

● Setting up and taking down moss walls for events

● Knowledge of and experience with plants, including troubleshooting around pests and other

plant health issues

● Strong sense of design

● Experience in construction or landscaping

● Typical hours are 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Installations may occasionally

require adjusted hours, such as early mornings, evenings and weekends

● Compensation: starting at $18/hr

○ Health insurance provided on the first of the month following 60 days in role. Planted

Design covers 75% of medical insurance premium, and 50% of vision and dental

premiums for team members

○ Fifteen paid days off per year. Accrual begins after 90 days

○ Nine paid holidays per year

○ 401(k) eligibility after one year, with annual company contributions of 3% of gross pay
