Landscape Designer, 0-3 and 3-6 Years

LSG Landscape Architecture, Inc. (LSG), a design firm with an extensive presence in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, is seeking Landscape Architects and Landscape Designers at multiple levels to join our dynamic team. For full time positions, we are seeking candidates with zero to three and three to six years’ professional experience in the field of landscape architecture. We are also seeking talented students who are interested in our summer internship program.

LSG’s award-winning practice is mainly focused along the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. We are also involved in number of projects across India, China and Middle East. Our expertise includes master planning, site design, and landscape architecture. We believe in placemaking that is smart, sustainable, creative, and transformational. Our design approach strives to generate an engaging, enlivened sense of place. Whether drawing from urban, pastoral, or historical inspirations, the result should be informed and elevated by something larger.
 
We are looking for talented and highly motivated individuals who work well with teams of various sizes and enjoy being collaboratively creative. The successful candidates will present strengths in design graphics, organization, communications, and an understanding of the design process from concept to construction documentation. A demonstrated capacity to handle a range of responsibilities and tasks is desired.
 


Qualifications/Skills for full time positions:

•         BS or MA/MLA in Landscape Architecture
•         Work experience in a landscape architectural firm.
•         Outstanding digital plan, section, and perspective graphic abilities.
•         Demonstration of design ideas and sensibility.
•         A track record of preparing quality presentation materials.
•         Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•         Understanding and experience in grading and drainage.
•         Proficiency in AutoCAD, land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
•         Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and comfortable with a diverse range of projects.
•         Demonstrated success with collaborative teams and time management.
 


Preferred Qualifications:

•         Proficiency with Autodesk REVIT.
•         Practical plant material knowledge.
•         Experience with construction documentation and construction administration.
•         Experience in innovative use of materials and construction detailing.
