Resource Sharing Student Assistant

The Resource Sharing & Delivery Services (RSDS) Student Assistant actively participates in University Library (UL)’s resource sharing activities. Depending on scheduling availability, this may include interlibrary loan (filling requests for loans and scans from UL’s collections and updating item and request records) and/or providing mailroom coverage (receiving incoming deliveries and preparing UPS & courier shipments).

Schedules vary based on availability, but department hours are between 8am and 4:30pm.

Position Responsibilities:
In cases where accommodations might be needed for this work, University Library works with IUPUI’s Office of Equal Opportunity to provide personnel with appropriate assistance.
  • Resource Sharing: Retrieving books and journals from the shelves, Scanning journal articles, Preparing packages for mailing, Processing materials using the circulation and interlibrary loan systems, Other duties as assigned
  • Delivery / Mail Room: Receiving incoming deliveries, Preparing UPS and courier shipments, Other duties as assigned
  • Participate in on-going training and professional development.
  • Participate in on-going performance review and self-evaluation.
