Job Title: Paralegal - Workers' Compensation Insurance Defense
Job Summary:
Provide assistance to attorneys in the preparation of workers’ compensation insurance defense cases.
Key Responsibilities:
·      Organize documents and maintain electronic and paper client files.
·      Conduct in depth case reviews and write detailed case and medical summaries.
·      Preparation of discovery requests and responses including motions and subpoenas.
·      Maintain calendar and diary for each case to perform discovery follow up and trial preparation tasks.
·      Review of discovery responses for completeness, identify additional discovery to be done and forward responses to all involved parties.
·      Preparation of medical and other documents for submission as exhibits court.
·      Draft other various motions, agreements and correspondence.
Minimum Job Requirements/Skills:
·      Prefer paralegal degree or certificate, but will take experience into consideration
·      Must be detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, able to work under pressure, multi-task, be dependable and professional.
·      Must have strong typing/computer/phones skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with Prolaw beneficial, but not required.
