Kitchen Coordinator - Childcare
Responsibilities
Required hours: Monday thru Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for IUPUI's childcare center. As kitchen coordinator this job receives the vendor prepared food and distributes the appropriate servings for each classroom for lunch, morning and afternoon snacks and delivers to each classroom. The duties also include operating dishwasher for lunch dishes, cleaning off lunch carts and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area. Pay range is $11 - 13 per hour based on experience.
Principals of Undergraduate Learning include:
Community Contributor working with families of faculty, staff and students of IUPUI and building relationships
Problem Solver - working directly with young children to help them learn, engage and grow as they explore
Communicator - active communication and building relationships between professional staff, children under the age of 5, and families we serve.
About CYC:
The IUPUI Center for Young Children (CYC), located on campus in downtown Indianapolis, provides childcare and early childhood education for the University and Indianapolis communities for up to 215 children. We believe children learn through play, hands-on activities, experiences and interaction with their environment and through the guidance and encouragement of experienced and professional teachers.
