Architectural Intern
MODIS is seeking a motivated Architectural Intern. As an Intern, you will be expected to work both independently and with team members to ensure that projects meet their specified goals on-time. This will consist of assisting Project Mangers with all aspects of architectural work during the conceptual/preliminary design phase. Duties and responsibilities may include maintaining project files, conducting research on potential construction sites such as zoning laws, codes and regulations, as well as preparing presentations for clients and submittal packages.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in several project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design.
- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
- Assist with ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining the quality of our designs.
- Tactfully resolve matters with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Self-starter, able to work independently and able to multi-task.
- Ability to performs calculations and basic analytical tasks.
- Conducts research for the project team.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Requirements:
- 2nd or 3rd year .
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Strong proficiency in PhotoShop, Indesign and other design programs a plus.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit a plus.
- Knowledge of Zoning Codes and Florida Building Codes a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, STRONG ENGLISH SKILLS REQUIRED.
