SALARY RANGE:
CMI (Bachelor's) - $24.04/hr
CMII (Master's) - $26.04/hr
Bilingual English/Spanish differential - $2.50/hr
HOURS: Monday - Friday; 8am to 5pm
Position summary: Serve at the V-WIC entry point. Answer digital calls through an on-line platform. Screen calls for eligibility for services, complete brief intake assessments and gather demographic information, link participants to program clinicians or peers for follow-up care and provide referrals. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
  • Answer digital phone calls from the community through an on-line platform.
  • Look up consumer information on multiple computer platforms.
  • Link program participants to clinicians or peers for follow-up services.
  • Understand insurance coverage for Behavioral Health including looking up information in a state database.
  • Refer consumers to other mental health providers or resources in the community as appropriate.
  • Coordinate scheduling appointments with team members.
  • Virtual screening and timely documentation of the screening in the medical record or through other digital platforms.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services degree and one year experience working in screening/assessment in behavioral health or a related field. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Great customer service.
  • A calm and assuring voice over a digital platform.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practice.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations virtually and intervene appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in clinical documentation in an electronic health record.
  • Proficiency with a variety of software applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Skype, Avatar, Power App Meal Check-in. Intermediate understanding of computer language and functionality. 
  • Ability to work with many disruptions and multitask.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer/scanner, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:  Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a remote position. May require occasional evenings or weekends.
