Summer Camp Discovery Educator

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is offering a 10 week paid summer internship for the summer of 2022 for our Camp Discovery program. Motivated undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in botany, ecology, conservation, and environmental education are welcome to apply! This position will assist in delivering environmental science-based educational programming to elementary students at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden over the summer.

Interns will be given a unique opportunity to:

- work directly with education staff to implement best practices of informal education

- utilize Fairchild's world-renowned collection to teach about the plant sciences

- educate current elementary students in engaging and creative ways

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the internship and have reliable transportation. Students must be able to commit to the entire duration of the internship from May 30- August 2, 2022. Applications are due by April 25, 2022.
