Interior Design Office and Shop Manager

Meg Braff Designs seeks an office/shop manager for its Locust Valley, NY retail store and interior design studio. Candidates must have retail experience and knowledge of POS systems.

Excellent communication skills and a detail oriented mindset are imperative to success in the role. The ideal candidate is computer savvy and will be helpful and sociable with customers on the phone and in person.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week including 2 Saturdays per month

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Prepare invoices, process payments, order shop inventory, coordinate deliveries

-Track design client orders

-Communicate with vendors and clients by phone and email 

-Answer the phone, greet shop clients and oversee sales

-Monitor general office email inbox

-Maintain shop appearance and inventory on MBD website, 1stdibs and Chairish

-Process and track wallpaper/fabric orders, stock checks and sample requests 

Requirements:

-Strong references

-Retail experience

-Local to Locust Valley, NY

-Experience with Quickbooks and POS systems

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office

-Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills 

-Excellent written and communication skills 

-Problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task in fast paced work environment 

-Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information 

-Ability to multi-task and juggle numerous projects
