About this Job

We are looking to hire full-time Assistant Project Manager to add to our Carpentry team!
 
The APM or PM will assist the project management team in supporting and coordinating ongoing projects and kicking off new projects. You will be an integral team member to a small team managing demanding and complex construction projects.


Responsibilities for Assistant Project Manager

 
·        Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals, ensuring that they are being met and are achievable
·        Assign duties to staff to implement project goals, as needed
·        Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution
·        Coordinate with project team on-site to create schedules, answer questions, and provide clarification where needed
·        Liaise with project lead, other project managers, and general contractors to maintain project schedule and efficacy
·        Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals
·        Review project implementation and gather data on project execution
·        Submit project materials for approval by researching products and coordinating with suppliers
·        Manage billing, budgets, and estimate costs for assigned projects
·        Organize deliveries, change orders, and other project documents in a virtual file system
 

Qualifications for Assistant Project Manager

 
·        Extensive experience and knowledge of Excel is required
·        Any construction related software knowledge (AutoCAD, Revit etc.) is preferred
·        Knowledge of the PDF editing software Bluebeam Revu is preferred
·        A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field related to the hiring industry would be preferred
·        Industry-specific certificates and licenses are preferred
·        Preferably proven or related skills and experience in the construction industry
·        Verifiable leadership through past experience and demonstrable capabilities
·        Ability and desire to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution
·        Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details
·        Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively
·        Focuses on quickly adapting and takes initiative when learning new methods and industry topics
