Assurance Intern- Summer 2023- Baton Rouge

The Audit Intern- Summer 2023 position is designed to provide individuals currently pursuing either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (or related field) with assignments that further their knowledge of the assurance function within a public accounting firm.

• Under direct supervision, participate on assigned assurance engagements including performing self-review of work product.

• Monitor workload and billable on a weekly basis.

• Communicate with supervisor any obstacles or items of concern.

• Stay current on firm policies.

• Comply with the professional and Firm requirements (e.g., employee handbook requirements, time entry procedures), assurance quality control document requirements confidentiality requirements (e.g. client information, proposal information, personnel information, job related information, etc.)

• Attend and actively engage in training sessions or meetings as required.

• Maintain a positive attitude and be receptive to feedback.

• If applicable, prepare for and take the CPA examination at every available opportunity.

• Provide courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritize and address requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.

• Assist in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. Assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Actively support teamwork throughout the organization.
