Software/Senior Software Analyst (IT Infrastructure / Windows Servers, Microsoft 365 Cloud & Network Engineer)
The Superior Court of California, County of Alameda is accepting applications for the positions of Software Analyst/Senior Software Analyst (IT Infrastructure / Windows Servers, Microsoft 365 Cloud & Network Engineer). The current job vacancy is assigned to the Infrastructure Services Team within the Office of Information Technology Division, at the East County Hall of Justice, located in Dublin, California. The Division may fill the vacancy at the level of a Software Analyst or Senior Software Analyst.
Software Analyst Salary Range: $99,860.80 - $129,688.00
Senior Software Analyst Salary Range: $110,240.00 - $143,270.40
Infrastructure Services
The Court’s Infrastructure Services Team is responsible for building, designing, securing, implementing, managing, and supporting the Information Technology Infrastructure for the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda. Infrastructure Services include both physical and virtual technologies in key areas including: Directory Services, Network Services, Hyperconverged Services, Voice Services, Hybrid Cloud, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Data Protection, and Cybersecurity.
Minimum Qualifications
Senior Software Analyst Minimum Qualification:
Either Option I
Experience:
The equivalent to two years of full-time experience in the class of Software Analyst in the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda classified service performing similar duties.
Or Option II
Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Additional experience in software analysis and programming, windows analysis, database software administration and/or programming, implementation and utilization of active directory and other application delivery mechanisms may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis.
And
Experience:
The equivalent to two years of recent full-time increasingly responsible experience in software analysis and programming and/or windows analysis and programming, the implementation and utilization of active directory and other application delivery mechanisms.
Software Analyst Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
And
Experience:
The equivalent to two years' of recent full-time increasingly responsible experience in computer programming, including software programming and analysis. Experience must include implementing packaged systems software, applying system patches and software upgrades.
Desired Qualifications for Sr. Software Analyst and Software Analyst:
- Expertise with Windows Server Administration and Support including On-Premise and Cloud resources with proficiency in PowerShell and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Active Directory Infrastructure, Schemas, Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Experience leveraging and knowledge of ITIL / ITSM best practices.
- Experience managing and maintaining VMWare vSphere, Nutanix, NetApp ONTAP 9, or other related physical and virtual infrastructure or hyper-converged technologies.
- Knowledge of Information Security best practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Ability to apply principals and techniques of design (Sr Analyst), implementation, analysis, troubleshooting, critical thinking, and customer service for on-premise and cloud infrastructure technologies.
- Technical Expert with core infrastructure technologies including: DNS, DHCP, SFTP, AD, 2FA/MFA, SSO, GPO, BGP.
Hiring Process
The hiring process will include the following components:
