The intern candidate will join a US HEOR team supporting hematology, and work closely with US HEOR leads to provide in strategically developing health outcomes research and generating data that demonstrates the economic and humanistic value of Novartis oncology product(s). The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated team player.
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities may include:
- Support HEOR team in Medical Tactical Teams in the development of medical and HEOR strategies to demonstrate the value of products to payers, clinical decision-makers and patients for assigned pipeline newly launched and/or marketed Novartis product(s) in the US.
- Assess research gaps and objectives across key partners and therapeutic area to determine appropriate outcomes research strategy, research objectives and tactical plan.
- Support multiple HEOR projects, associated budgets and external & internal partners, while ensuring a high level of scientific difficulty and alignment with partners.
- Develop strategy to support business needs on varying projects requiring HEOR research principles and applications in the US Oncology therapeutic area setting.
- Support selected HEOR functional initiatives to ensure that HEOR capabilities are utilized, cross-functionally, internally and compliantly communicate the value of Novartis Oncology product(s) internal and externally including communication tools for medical and commercial field force.
- Support evidence dissemination impactful research at scientific conferences and forums
- Ensure compliance with all legal/regulatory and Novartis requirements/policies for HEOR (publications and communications, GPP, Pharma codes, NVS SOPs/WPDs/guidance, Sunshine Act/ Clinical Transparency).

Requirements:
- Candidate should be in a US accredited degree-granting college or university pursuing a Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD, or MD) in related field and experience conducting HEOR research (Related fields include: Health Services Research, Health Economics / Economics, Psychometrics, Health Policy, Outcomes Research, and Pharmacy Administration).
- Current master’s level candidate with commensurate experience will be considered.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and to work in a diverse and changing environment
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Good understanding and practical experience in observational/outcomes research
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
