Early Careers: Contract Writing Analyst

Aon is looking for a Reinsurance Contract Writing Analyst!

Locations: Bloomington, MN and Chicago, IL

As part of Aon’s Reinsurance team, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and finalizing formal documentation memorializing terms and conditions applicable to treaty reinsurance arrangements. You will be challenged to learn and remain well-informed of industry terms and jargon, as well as trends and regulations to remain competitive.
This role falls under Aon’s early career development program, known as Launch. Building on the development colleagues receive in the role they are hired into; the Launch program is a supplemental development program for recent college recruits.

Your impact as a Contract Writing Analyst

  • Draft reinsurance contracts, attending documentation, and related correspondence
  • Assist brokers, clients, and markets in addressing issues related to contract wording
  • Draft, revise and endorse London Slips and submit for review and approval
  • Draft and update Reinsurance Intermediary Agreements
  • Review expiring wording and new contract documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Participate in marketing presentations to prospective and existing clients
  • Coordinate with broker colleagues to review reinsurance terms
  • Contribute to maintenance of library of clauses
  • Monitor statutory positions, regulatory guidelines, judicial decrees, current wording issues and industry trends affecting reinsurance contracts
  • Ensure that general processing and quality of assigned accounts aligns with team guidelines

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Suggested Experience:
  • Corporate/business/ legal/paralegal experience in contracts preferred and knowledge from insurance/reinsurance industry a definite plus
  • Demonstrated advanced competence in all facets of reading, writing and communication
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with basic math proficiency and proven problem solving ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn proprietary systems and applications
  • Nominal travel may be required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
Applicants for this role, which is part of the Launch program, must graduate between December 2021 – June 2022 and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
The Launch Program was established to mentor and develop future business leaders. This program “launches” the Aon careers of our campus hires in various full-time positions across the company. The Launch training curriculum prepares participants for success as they build relationships and explore growth opportunities throughout the organization.
