Job Description 
 
Family Service of Lake County is seeking a clinical therapist, who is bilingual/fluent in Spanish, to provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples, and families, allowing an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of clients.
 
Family Service of Lake County has provided social services in Lake County communities since 1930. Our mission is to strengthen families through counseling, education, and related support services, and help individuals succeed in school, at work, in relationships and within our community. 
 
LOCATION: Hybrid
 
SUPERVISOR: Director of Counseling, Ashley Ice
 
WORK SCHEDULE:  Part-time or Full-time
 
SUMMARY: Work with individuals, couples, and families (both Latino and non-Latino) to address emotional, behavioral, and relational issues and to promote positive mental health.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Clinical (75%)
·        Provide direct clinical services to clients across the lifespan
·        Provide direct clinical services to clients during home visits, as appropriate and as needed
·        Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans collaboratively with all clients
·        Coordinate collaborative case management services with external community partners (schools, hospitals, psychiatrists, doctors) as needed, including advocacy, referral and coordinating services on behalf of client
·        Complete client outcome measures for funding partners and for service evaluation
·        Document client case notes, assessments and other clinical documentation in EMR system within the expected time frame
Community Outreach  (15%)
·        Develop and facilitate short term psycho-educational groups and community presentations as appropriate
·        Maintain regular relational contacts with specified community partners
·        Represent agency by attending community meetings as needed
 
Other (10%)
·        Attend staff meetings, in addition to other agency meetings and required trainings
·        Support the Mission of Family Service of Lake County
·        Other duties as assigned
 
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
·        Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
·        Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC) a plus
·        Minimum of two year’s clinical experience
·        Bilingual in Spanish preferred
·        Experience working with Latino population and culture
·        Valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally to provide in-home/offsite clinical services to senior clients, as needed
·        Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office
·        Complete all required DCFS checks and authorizations
 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
·        Compensation based on credentials and experience

·        Travel reimbursed at federal mileage rate
