BAE Systems’ Intelligence and Security (I&S) sector is seeking talented, motivated individuals for internships with our Business Winning Team. This is an opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic team in order to gain valuable business operations experience, and exposure to defense contracting. The Business Development Intern will provide operations, research, and analytics support to the Integrated Defense Systems Business Winning team. Work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with 20 other Business Winning professionals as we position BAE Systems to solve the Governments toughest challenges. This role will provide a bird's eye view of the Federal Government procurements process and how products and services are competitively offered to satisfy Government requirements. Interns also work together in project teams to tackle pressing operations and business growth challenges, which culminate in a final presentation to senior leadership.
Typical Job responsibilities can include:
- Daily use of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Access, SharePoint
- Maintain a Customer Relationship Management Suite (Salesforce)
- Assist with content management and data sharing
- Assist with analyzing and visualizing pipeline data and performance metrics
- Support the development and research of business intelligence for account planning and competitive procurements in the federal market
- Support the development of compelling winning strategies including competitive intelligence, teaming, solution, and pricing strategies
- Work with functional support staffs in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Security, Communications, and Contracting
- Review and disseminate Task Orders to interested parties
- Refresh and manage internal and external websites
- Assess processes and tools and recommend areas of improvement
- Attend and participate in internal staff meetings, as well as subcontractor, and customer meetings
- LEAP internship program activities
- Potential opportunity to be sponsored for a security clearance

Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage, working full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week) through the run of the program (late-May through August).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Rising Junior or Senior with a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficient in building dashboards based on set data sets in either Power BI, Salesforce (Einstein Analytics), Tableau, and or Excel
- Proven ability to work independently and take tasks on and run with them
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Inquisitive, outgoing, and tenacious
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in the following fields:
