Digital Integration-Disney Parks Blog Intern (DPEP)

As a Professional Intern on the Digital Integrations team, you’ll get a chance to turn your classroom skills into real-world experience in a fun and fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to grow your digital content creation and planning skills with an innovative team that oversees the official Disney Parks (@DisneyParks) social media channels and Disney Parks Blog. We are an innovative team of passionate Disney storytellers that millions of fans come to for their daily Disney Parks, Experiences and Products news, sneak peeks, and 1:1 connection with the Disney Parks brand.
 
A Day in the Life… 
As a Digital Integration-Disney Parks Blog Intern, you have the opportunity to:
 
  • Publish content on the Disney Parks Blog and associated social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok)
  • Manage social media engagement and moderation, UGC curation and reporting
  • Share Influencer/Talent content across platforms
  • Work in content management systems/backend tools, including WordPress, Sprinklr and Slack
  • Assists in governance of day-to-day editorial calendars
  • Creating compelling social copy and applying best practices - translating traditional marketing into engaging and brand relevant online storytelling
  • Contribute to a team that is nimble, creative, optimistic, disruptive with fresh ideas
  • Stay on top of innovative social trends to elevate channel strategy
  • Perform content audits to ensure timely content reporting of social media reports on Sprinklr
  •  Provide on-property event support and assist with larger team projects, as needed
  • Be a contributing member of the team with exposure to multiple departments
  • Have plenty of opportunities to stretch your skills and lead projects while working independently

  •  Comfortable working collaboratively with team members at all levels
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to detail and ability to prioritize time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic level understanding of WordPress or similar online blog publishing tools
  • Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing softwareword
  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
  • Managing competing priorities and communicate updates effectively while under pressure
  • A creative, self-started who is able to work independently and take initiative
  • A passion and strong knowledge of social media platforms and understands trends
  • An electronic online portfolio with relevant work must be included as a URL link on your resume as part of this application process.
 
(Preferred Qualifications) 
  • Basic level understanding of HTML
  • Previous relevant internships in in digital marketing/social media marketing
  • Experience with Sprinklr or other social content management platforms
  • Passion for the Disney brand and/or previous Disney experience 
  • Fluent in Spanish

Required Education: 
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree (or recent graduate) in Social Media, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media or other relevant area  
 
Additional Recruitment Information: 
  • The approximate dates of this internship are May 2022-January 2023
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Able to provide own housing and transportation in the Orlando, FL area
