INTERNSHIP SUMMARY –
The intern is a motivated, creatively fueled and results-driven individual who cares about the local environment and wants to be part of an action-packed nonprofit organization to assist with business development, fundraising and revenue generation. Working with the development team, the intern will primarily assist with fundraising event preparation, management, and execution, but will also assist the development coordinator with other tasks associated with fundraising, including donor relations, appeals, and corporate sponsorships.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS –
- 10 total hours per week across two or three consecutive days anytime from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Some events will require evening and weekend efforts with advanced lead-time.
QUALIFICATIONS - Demonstrated commitment, trustworthiness, responsible, and attention to detail. Coursework relevant to the role include: hospitality, business development, event management, marketing or related studies. Excellent writing skills, and able to multitask projects with competing deadlines. Criminal background check is required, must have own vehicle, a valid driver’s license, comfortable working independently, as a team member, technologically savvy with Microsoft and Google products.
