Intermediate Level Land Planner

We are currently seeking a motivated intermediate level land planner with 4-6 years of experience as our collaborative and innovative firm continues to grow within the greater DC metro, . Position Description
In this position, located in our Richmond office, you will work on various private and public sector projects within a team-oriented design environment, with opportunities for career growth and advancement. Project work will include land use and zoning research, preparing site evaluation studies, conceptual and schematic master planning, entitlement submission drawings, design team collaboration, and presentation exhibits and graphics.
Position Responsibilities
- Contribute professional design expertise and technical knowledge to the project team
- Think both creatively and practically, and produce high-quality work
- Be resourceful, organized and show good judgment in decision-making
- Be motivated for working both independently and in a team environment
- Assisting colleagues in obtaining new clients and project work
Education Requirements
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Urban design, Landscape Architecture or a similar discipline from an accredited university
Required Skills and Experience
- Efficiency with AutoCAD
- Experience with land use/comprehensive plans and zoning codes
- Experience with the preparation of entitlement submission drawings, site evaluation studies and conceptual and schematic master plans
- Excellent design, written and verbal communication skills
- American Institute of Certified Planners certification desired, but not required
