Designer II
DESIGNER II The Designer II actively participates in the project design and production by performing architectural assignments. Under the direction of a Registered Architect, the Designer II is responsible for the production of complete, accurate, and well-coordinated documents. QUALIFICATIONS • Graduate of an accredited architectural program with Bachelor’s level degree. • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality design and architectural drawings. • Demonstrated ability to make design and documentation decisions requiring discretion and good judgement. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Demonstrated competency with required computer software RESPONSIBILITIES Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Adhere to both Cooper Carry and the Client guidelines and meet deadlines for each project. • Demonstrate architectural skills to include drawing, rendering, visual and presentation skills utilizing internal resources. • Collaborate in the design process. • Prepare and produce drawings, design and construction documents for complex structures. • Inform Project Team Leaders of potential project opportunities. • Demonstrate an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods. • Maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources. • Promote a collaborative team environment • Complete research as needed. • Contribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio and firm. • Become a Registered Architect. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
