What Your Job Will Be Like
The Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services Division is currently seeking a dedicated People & Culture Strategist to join their team! This role will involve providing leadership and support to the work of the leadership team with strategic planning, advisory services for critical decisions, leadership engagement events and programs, and special projects. This work is conducted in a highly exciting, dynamic, teaming environment within the department and across the Division.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of working strategies, strategic objectives, and initiatives
  • Lead projects and initiatives with lab-wide impact and that further the effectiveness of the Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services Division and the sustainability of the Laboratories
  • Ensure the Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services Division’s alignment with the Lab’s strategic plan
  • Provide guidance and support to Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services Division management with strategic planning and special projects/initiatives
  • Proactively identify internal and external strategic issues that could affect program/business sustainability and develop or collaborate in the development of corrective plans of action
  • Plan and coordinate strategy and program reviews
The salary range for this distinguished position is $115,400 to $163,590. The selected candidate(s) final salary will be determined based upon education, experience, internal equity, and location.
Qualifications We Require
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, or a relevant field, plus 12 years related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire
  • A Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, or a relevant field
  • Experience with or extensive knowledge in leading the design and implementation of strategic workforce plans
  • A demonstrated knowledge and experience with the utilization of data analytics for strategy development
  • Experience with and the proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams
  • Experience with or extensive knowledge of leadership development and leadership engagement approaches and techniques
  • A self-motivated, positive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and energized by change
  • The proven ability to work as part of a tightly knit, self-directed team
  • A demonstrated record of acting at tactical and strategic levels in response to constantly evolving events and direction
  • Demonstrated experience with change management methodologies, practices, and principle
  • Strong writing, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • The demonstrated ability to negotiate competing requirements
  • Experience working with upper levels of leadership and guiding all levels of management and staff
  • Demonstrated skills in building rapport, respect, and trust-based partnerships
  • A familiarity with Sandia's business and organizational management processes and rhythms
  • A broad network of contacts and working relationships with Sandia
  • Knowledge of Labs' missions, programs, culture, environment, and strategies
  • Knowledge with the Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services Division programs, culture, and strategies
  • The demonstrated ability to effectively understand, assimilate, and translate essential information to all levels of management
