Extra Space is currently hiring for a Risk Management Finance Analyst at our corporate office located in Salt Lake City, UT. At Extra Space the Risk Management Team is responsible for minimizing financial exposure to the business through identifying and mitigating risk. The team also is responsible for protecting employees, our company’s assets, and our customer’s goods, through loss control and safety initiatives.

The Risk Analyst will support the team regarding all aspects of the corporate and captive insurance program including underwriting data management, claims, billing, and allocations. The position will allow the candidate to work with teams across the organization in support of strategic initiatives to improve profitability and mitigate losses. Primary Responsibilities:
·      Support the risk team with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and allocations
·      Manage the insurance licensing renewal process
·      Oversee all billing and invoicing for insurance related activities
·      Help maintain database of property information needed for insurance renewals
·      Supervise administration of risk management information system
·      Support claims team in administering and managing workers compensation and general liability claims to mitigate losses
·      Perform frequent analysis of claims data to identify trends and mitigate losses
 
Education and Experience:
·      A Bachelor’s degree (mathematics, statistics, finance, economics or accounting preferred) from a four-year college or university; and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience required.
·      Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel
