Industrial Operations Improvement Engineer

*Relocation to Shreve is not necessary. Shreve is 10 minutes outside Wooster, OH and equidistant from Cleveland and Columbus. We have several employees that commute from downtown Columbus, Cleveland and Cleveland suburbs!

CerCo manufactures advanced structural and industrial refractory ceramics, utilizing a wide array of materials and manufacturing equipment.

CerCo is looking for Industrial Engineers to:

·        Work with management to develop project-based assessments of existing factories and product lines.

·        Evaluate existing product lines for inefficiencies and wastefulness in the production process.

·        Evaluate and recommend mechanical improvements to existing production equipment and lines, including process evaluation, equipment selection, and cost benefit analysis.

·        Aid in the ongoing buildout of the company’s ERP system.

·        Draft, develop, and implement procedures in accordance with ISO standards.

·        Help evaluate departments and operations for efficiency, ergonomic, and safety improvements.

·        Identify tasks to automate; aid in the selection, installation and deployment of robots and modern computer controls.

·        Evaluate existing record-keeping procedures and make recommendations for improvements or areas for data analysis.

·        Participate in investigations and evaluations of returned products; identify issues and implement change orders.

Skills and Qualifications:

Industrial and Systems Engineering B.S.

Hands-on approach to data acquisition, evaluating operations, and project implementation
