Supply Chain and Procurement Analyst

Company Background
Founded in 2009, Midwest Equipment Sales (“MWE”) is a rapidly growing developer, importer, and distributor of market leading products through two divisions: (1) aftermarket tracks and tires for the small and mid-size equipment industry (the “Tracks & Tires” division), and (2) outdoor power products, such as portable generators, pressure washers and battery products (the “OPE” Outdoor Power Equipment division). MWE markets its products primarily through e-commerce channels, both through its own website portal, as well as leading online retailers (such as Amazon, Lowe’s, and Home Depot).
 
Job Overview
The Supply Chain and Procurement analyst will be responsible for inventory planning, purchase order creation, monitor and track production and shipping schedules for select vendors. In addition, this role will ensure customer satisfaction through the improvement and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures, company policy, all legal/regulatory considerations, and company/regional Safety and Quality procedure
 
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Identify product needs and submit purchase orders (POs) considering inventory levels and lead times
  • Follow up on open orders with suppliers to ensure they are dispatched on time and in full
  • Track all open orders and incoming overseas containers, and provide accurate ETAs
  • Work in tandem with customs agencies to ensure customs clearance is completed on time
  • Cooperate with suppliers to determine improvement points on supply chain processes
  • Cost effective supplier arraignments and purchases compliant with business financial controls and process standards
  • Ensure data integrity for PO’s placed (pricing, dates, quantities, etc.)
  • Host weekly calls with key vendors to review production schedules and order optimization
  • Partner with leadership to identify and track KPIs and develop data analytics models with business strategies to drive operational improvements
  • Monitor sales and inventory trends to suggest reorders on fast sellers and suggest alternative measures on slow sellers
  • Assist with the development of dynamic spreadsheets that allow for sensitivity testing of supply chain inputs and a variety of scenarios
  • Manage, maintain, and document Oracle NetSuite system inputs to ensure order-to-cash process is optimized
  • Strategic supply chain cost savings initiatives
                                                                                                
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on-time and with little supervision
  • General negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and ERP systems
  • Material requirements planning (MRP) system proficiency
 
Education / Training Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or quantitative fields or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of industry supply chain, inventory management, procurement, and logistics experience
