Graphic Designer (student)
The UT System Population is seeking graduate or undergraduate students to work with our senior designer on a variety of design projects, including designing print materials, producing web-based visualizations, and potentially producing animated graphics as well.
Students may help with projects including the Texas Collaborative for Healthy Mothers & Babies, Texas Safe Babies, Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC).
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and executing design concepts as well as maintaining visual appearance and brand continuity in both print and digital environments. Areas of work may include: various print pieces like flyers and toolkits, digital ads, presentations, marketing emails, graphics, signage, environmental design, and web design.
- Maintain effective communication with senior designers and project managers and must be able to work collaboratively or independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate or undergraduate student in design, studio art or related fields.
- Experience with adobe products: Illustrator, Indesign and photoshop.
- Should have great understanding of design systems: typography, iconography, color, grid, and design components
- Proficiency with contemporary design and wireframing tools and methods
- UX research skills or interests in learning UI/UX design is a plus.
- Experience in designing for Health-related institutions is a plus.
