Resource Library Specialist

Your role:
The Material Resource Specialist is responsible for filling and maintaining all memo samples, keeping inventory levels current, and ensuring team members receive materials quickly as possible. Assist in keeping the team up to date with the latest design trends.
Your Responsibilities:
You will report to the Studio Manager and provide reference and research support for Library users. In addition, you will convey and share information, select materials to support the design team in the projects, and act as Library Liaison to the Interior Design and Architecture Departments.
You will provide creative input for ongoing improvements in the Library's product & organization
You will support the designers in procuring pricing and specification for in-progress projects.
You will assist designers in requesting materials and resources necessary for ongoing projects and assist in the execution of material boards.
You will also develop programs and facilitate online and distance education, in collaboration with the vendors and/or material representative and plan and schedule Lunch & Learns. Set up and tidy area before and after Lunch & Learns, as well as client meetings
You will maintain the library and its surroundings in pristine conditions. Restock shelves with items left in cart and/or project cubbies (upon direction from a team member) and return not-needed items to vendors
You will assist with ongoing updates on the Physical and Digital Library and this includes updates in new resources, representatives’ contact information, etc.
Your Qualifications:
Be knowledgeable of the Interior Design industry
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Organizational skills and detail-oriented
The ability to work in teams, collaborate and solve problems
Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/InDesign/PowerPoint/Photoshop
