Level: Internship - rotating position every semester/summer, depending on student arrangement
Job Brief:
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our staff and provide creative ideas to achieve our marketing plan. You will have administrative duties as well as creative thinking in developing and implementing marketing strategies for Winston Starts.
As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our Marketing and Communications Manager in all stages of marketing. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels while working to increase visibility of the organization and its founders. This internship is meant to expand your marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies, content creation and industry programs. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment. The marketing and communications intern will have the opportunity to interact with Winston Starts staff as well as startup founders in a variety of verticals. Intern will have access to programming being offered to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and will have the opportunity to learn more about amazing new startups in the Triad. Responsibilities:
Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g., social media, email marketing, Eventbrite, website, and blog)
Design graphics and marketing collateral maintaining all branding guidelines Help organize marketing and advertising events to grow participation levels Brainstorm and present new social media campaign ideas
Contribute to the creation of digital signage, event content, and social media content. Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks and communications
Help write copy for social media posts, website, marketing email campaigns, press releases, etc.
