At the IDB, we provide customized and impactful educational experiences for early career to executive‐level military, government, and private sector customers.

This temporary Program Assistant position will be involved in the planning of, delivery of, and follow‐up to the Spring 2019 offering of a multi‐week course providing private‐sector best‐practice benchmarking for the U.S. military.

 

A day in the life of an IDB Program Assistant:

 

Pre‐program planning

  • Assist a Program Associate and/or Program Manager in coordinating all logistical details for our education programs, including but not limited to the participants, materials, and distinguished visitors
  • Harness your creativity by collaborating with marketing and sales on the creation and distribution of program marketing material

Program delivery

  • Be a key point of contact for the program team who works behind the scenes to keep every moving piece running smoothly
  • Provide high internal and external customer service by addressing special requests from participants, speakers, instructors, and distinguished visitors


Post‐program follow‐up

  • Archive program materials such as academic content, participant information, schedules, evaluations, and participant biographies
  • Process speaker and instructor invoices by preparing and submitting check requests for reimbursement
 


Additional day‐to‐day tasks

  • Join cross program teams to improve internal processes and cultivate a heart for entrepreneurship by uncovering potential for new program offerings
  • Provide administrative support to the IDB office, as needed

  • Be able to transport program‐related materials weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Have schedule flexibility that accommodates 15‐20 hours per week of work for 6‐8 weeks, including the possibility of some evening and weekend work associated with program delivery
  • Event planning experience is a plus
