Finance Intern
GENERAL PURPOSE

The Envestnet Summer Internship is a full-time, paid internship program designed for qualified college students to gain hands-on experience at Envestnet! This internship role will be in the San Mateo, CA Office location. Interns will work alongside various department experts and collaborate with fellow Envestnet interns on a project presented to leaders in the company.
The Summer Internship program will run from June 6, 2022 through August 12, 2022. We are anticipating an in-person Internship experience this summer! As the Covid-19 pandemic is still very much a reality and is constantly changing, we will know for certain if we are able to host in office closer to the start of the program. To prepare for an in-person experience, we ask that you are a commutable distance from an office location.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
• Assist with the compilation of key financial and non-financial metrics
• Upload supporting documentation in Oracle, Blackline and other financial reporting systems
• Aggregate data from various Excel workbooks to summarize the data in one workbook or memo
• Assist with various ad-hoc reporting responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation of journal entries
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
• Detail oriented but also can step back and think about the big picture
• Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, ability to work with large files, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently through straightforward tasks, but also able to recognize
• when to seek help
• Team oriented and confident in dealing with people at all levels within the organization, including parties outside of finance
• Familiarity with basic US GAAP
Education/Experience
• Working on Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics a plus

Education/Experience
• Computer Science
• Accounting or Business with a computer science/system minor or emphasis

The hourly range for this position is $20 to $24
