Child Development Specialist
Join the team of staff at Camp Wawenock on Sebago Lake in Maine, a traditional seven-week girls' camp. Wawenock counselors are caring individuals interested in positively impacting the life of a child. They work as a team with other staff and the Directors to create a welcoming camp family. All counselors live on site at Camp and in cabins with campers, and also teach activities (typically in 1-3 different activity areas) unless otherwise arranged with the Directors.
Counselors work directly with the Activity/Unit Heads responsible for their areas of teaching and living. Counselors receive ongoing support and feedback from the applicable Activity/Unit Head and also participate in a weekly full staff meeting facilitated by the Directors.
