About the job

This position is needed to challenge and empower developers to build the future of communications. We're looking for Summer 2022 interns who can contribute significantly to developer resources that help our customers be successful building with Twilio. In this role, you may find yourself authoring technical content for the Twilio blog, building a new sample application or content in our educational videogame, creating API documentation, assisting with the launch of a new feature, or reviewing the work of a fellow Twilion or our external contributors. You understand the importance of building empathy for Twilio’s developers, and will have opportunities outside the day-to-day to learn what developers experience first-hand.
Internships are available on the Developer Voices, Organic Content Growth, Twilio Education, and Developer Education teams where you may assist with content production, educational content creation and/or demo code creation.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:
  • Contribute meaningfully to Twilio’s developer resources, including sample code, technical documentation, the development of Twilio’s Educational video game, TwilioQuest, and potentially even video content..
  • You will be expected to embrace these challenges, learn fast and deliver phenomenal results.
  • You will bring a willingness to learn and grow, and we will reciprocate with ample opportunity to do just that, in a friendly, fun and exciting environment! 
  • Demonstrate consistent improvement in your coding skills, education skills, and agile development mentality.
  • Tackle projects that improve the developer experience across Twilio’s product lines and educational resources. Learn what makes a compelling experience for developers demonstrating profitable technologies at-scale.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Are working towards a BS, MS, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
  • Have a keen interest in developer success and education, with several side projects or and perhaps are a part of the open source community, technical student organization or a local meetup group.
  • Have a hungry entrepreneurial and "can do" spirit, as evidenced by successful interest in learning new technologies.
  • Have experience with technologies such as JavaScript, Python, C#, Ruby, Node, and/or REST APIs.
  • A meticulous eye for detail: accuracy, conciseness, consistency, and relevance. 
  • You enjoy collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teams.
  • You can write proficiently in English.
Desired:
  • You have taught students before, perhaps as a Teaching Assistant (TA), a tutor, hackathon supporter, or as an instructor outside the realm of technology.
Location 
This role will be remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.
