Remote Marketing Internship - Winter 2022

Job Description

About the Internship Program   
The ACG Internship Program aims to provide a rich, relevant and rewarding experience for college students. This paid internship allows students to gain practical experience outside the classroom and experience what it is like to work for an industry leader. The goal of the program is to provide interns the opportunity to connect, network, and grow as they work on department-specific projects and is designed to enhance the skills and abilities of young professionals. Interns will be mentored and coached by ACG leaders, and at the end of the program will share feedback with ACG leadership about their experience.   

Compensation:   
The Auto Club Group will provide compensation of $18.75/hour for up to 32 hours/week for at least 12 weeks.   
  
Work Environment:   
Currently remote with the possibility of moving hybrid in the future.    

Internship Responsibilities  
  • Learn about Meemic Insurance Company, The Meemic Foundation and the Auto Club Group by receiving training through corporate education and/or on-the-job training. Assignments are based on business line needs but should encompass professional level work that may include: gathering information, providing analysis and drawing conclusions and/or developing recommendations, conducting department business/system audits, developing reports, performing mathematical calculations for various transactions.   
  • Provide Marketing support to the Meemic Marketing Department, including but not limited to: Reviewing marketing materials and creatives for typos, branding, etc.; Support of Meemic’s online marketing store; Social Media Support (meetings, posts, research, promotions); daily tracking and assignment of Agent Marketing requests; mgmt. of special Marketing projects and tasks.   
  • Participate in the development of marketing plans, processes and projects as requested.  
  • Understand, document, coordinate and improve processes relevant to scope of work. Assists in managing multiple marketing projects and routine tasks.  
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal partner work groups (e.g., product lines and business areas) and vendors, as appropriate, within a diverse product, cross-functional environment.   
  • Maintain and apply current marketing knowledge for assigned area(s) of expertise. Ensure compliance with applicable marketing related laws, regulations, company policies and guidelines. Document project status using project tracking software programs as indicated. 

Qualifications
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications): 
  • College-level coursework in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or a related field.   
  • Must currently be enrolled in school and at least a Sophomore  
  • Must be enrolled in their college/university career development internship program(s)  
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States 

Knowledge/Skills: 
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Preparing and presenting marketing proposals  
  • Analyzing, summarizing and communicating marketing results, trends and recommendations 
  • Marketing and advertising principles and applications 
  • Project scheduling and tracking 
  • Working effectively in a cross-functional environment 
  • Multi-tasking on multiple, concurrent projects 
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.    
  • Software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) 
  • Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
