Brand Connections Internship - Summer 2022

Responsibilities


Internship Overview
The Express Summer 2022 Internship Program is a 10-week paid program that provides students with an opportunity to work with and learn from experienced professionals while gaining exposure to various aspects of a retail fashion company. The 2022 Summer Intern class will be made up of 25-30 students interested in hands-on experience in an area of interest and exposure to cross-functional collaboration as well as gaining valuable professional development.
 
The 2022 Program begins on June 6th through August 12th and interns will work in our New York Design Studio.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Express’ Brand Connections Team (PR, Social Media and Influencer Marketing)
  • Place sample and gifting orders for media, influencers and talent
  • Update and maintain industry contact lists and influencer database for micro/macro influencers
  • Assist PR Specialist and Influencer Marketing Specialist in the execution of digital influencer marketing campaigns
  • Conduct competitive research for social and influencer campaigns; create audits
  • Assist in the recruitment of new nano influencers for the Express Ambassador program
  • Daily monitoring of social media news, conversations and trends
  • Assist in weekly Instagram Stories development and TikTok video conceptualization
  • Partner with the Social Coordinator to source, approve and tag user-generated content via Curalate
  • Support Specialists with ad-hoc reporting on Brand Connections initiatives
  • Assist in event planning and execution
  • Remain current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to PR, influencer marketing and social media
  • General administrative support and research
  • Possess an understanding of basic media relations skills, an ability to interact professionally with press and influencers, and demonstrate good judgment
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Familiarity with media relations software (such as Cision)
  • Familiarity with influencer platforms a plus (such as Mavrck, Fohr Card, etc.)
  • Active social media user with working knowledge of notable social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.)

Requirements
  • Availability to work full time (40 hours per week)
  • Open to undergraduate Juniors & Seniors in good academic standing
  • GPA above 3.0
