Contract Coordinator / Corporate Paralegal
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to support legal department with general corporate, organizational, and compliance matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Handle legal information requests, including historical company data and records, corporate entities, and commercial transactions
- Be responsible for document control throughout the life of a contract including drafting and/or reviewing contractual obligations
- Collaborate with internal business units on clarifying and correctly capturing contractual terms
- Provide litigation assistance by managing files, coordinating discovery, and facilitating communication with outside counsel
- Exercise strong verbal and written communication skills in working with employees at all levels of the company, vendors, customers, regulators and outside counsel in solving problems and identifying legal issues
- Assist with corporate compliance with business statutes, including managing filings, securing registrations, filing annual reports, licensing applications and renewals
- Conduct legal research related to contracts, corporate filings, and compliance issues, including identifying legal issues and analyzing and synthesizing information
Other frequent duties:
- Participate in company-wide initiatives
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and assist in due diligence projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: 4-year bachelor’s degree/paralegal degree or paralegal certification from an ABA approved program or related degree
Experience Required: 2-5 years of contract/document management or paralegal experience in a general corporate practice preferred
