The Demand Planning Planner is responsible for demand forecasting and business analysis activities. This person will serve as a link between merchandising and supply chain to ensure alignment between plans. This role will be responsible for developing demand plans for their assigned categories. Responsible for understanding the demand for those categories and items. Resolves accurate forecasts for replenishment, promotional sales, new item forecasting and planning. Responsible for the forecast accuracy for assigned categories. Responsible for recognizing trends or patterns and adjusting forecasts as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain promotional demand forecasts down to item level. 30%
- Develop and maintain new items and base demand for existing items. 30%
- Reviews tactical demand trends and adjusts forecast inputs and outputs as needed. 20%
- Collaborates during consensus demand meetings with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on forecasts. 20%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Working knowledge of the following areas desirable: business principles, supply chain processes, Microsoft Access and Excel, DOMO, SQL, VBA, and other applicable software applications.
- Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Adaptable, resourceful and forward thinking
