Middle School Dance Teacher
McDonogh School is in search of a Middle School Dance Teacher with a passion for creating dynamic and student-centered educational experiences. A strong candidate possesses the ability to utilize a wide range of artistic media in order to develop students’ creative confidence, curiosity, and technical ability. It is essential that they possess a breadth of artistic and educational experience in addition to a deep understanding of their personal specialty. The candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy and fast-paced environment within which the facilitation and management of numerous student projects occur simultaneously. Additionally, the applicant needs to be willing and excited to work with a team that embraces integrated educational practices for the advancement of an ever-evolving art program.

Essential Functions
- Inspiring, engaging, and encouraging students in the study of dance
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Middle School visual and performing arts department, as well as any and all other Middle School departments
- Using professional growth opportunities to continually grow as a dance educator
- Serving as a Middle School advisor and active member of a Middle School grade-specific team
- Becoming an engaged member of the McDonogh community by participating in school activities inside and outside of the visual arts department
- Overtly supporting and acting in accordance with the school's mission
- Exhibit professional standards of presentation, punctuality, professional courtesy, and discretion
- Responding to the needs of the School, including but not limited to, service learning, advisory programs, coaching, assigned supervision, and other areas as determined by the Middle School Head
