Job Summary
Responsible for creating and delivering highly functional designs used in new products being developed, as well as iterating on existing designs across various platforms, to help deliver a consistent user experience across all channels. Supports user research studies, including surveys, in-depth interviews, remote and local research, moderated and unmoderated studies, field studies, focus groups, and concept/prototype testing. Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to help drive design excellence through industry best practices and trends.

Essential Functions
Design
  • Collaborate with the UX Design Team to test proposed design concepts and inform design direction through research and usability testing.
  • Deliver screen designs and information architecture that meet user needs and feature requirements for digital experiences.
  • Provide feedback on the visual language, design framework, and component library to help shape long-term design strategies and vision at UFCU.
 
Research
  • Support research efforts to help the design thinking process and communicate concepts which solve complex UX problems.
  • Observe user research strategies and methodologies to help the UX team better understand what would make a member’s experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Complete required regulatory training as assigned.
  • Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to your role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Familiar with designer tools including Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Zeplin.
  • Basic understanding of the user-centered design process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate concepts clearly and convincingly to leadership.

Experience
Minimum Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited college or university
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and mobile UI
Preferred Requirements
  • Currently seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or related fields.
