Legislative Intern
Primary Responsibilities:
This internship will focus on policy and data research that will support the needs of the organization related to the 2022 legislative session. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a capable and committed individual to practice and refine research skills and get an up-close look at legislative activities, help build the foundation of a new nonprofit, and participate in a movement to engage Indiana women in civic and political life.
Duties:
Women4Change is a rapidly evolving nonprofit. The list of responsibilities below will give you a good sense of what you’ll be doing. But, it is not an exhaustive list. Within our intern, we hope for a nimble and adaptive partner.
- Conduct research on relevant policy issues for organizational use.
- Track all bills related to our policy agenda
- Attend committee hearings and other policy-related meetings
- Create communications to support movement during the legislative session
