Business Development Internship

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Initium Health is seeking a motivated business analyst intern who is ready to apply knowledge of business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real-world environment who wants to make a difference in improving health. The intern will assist in writing reports, conducting research, analyzing data, and making recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in business administration.

Our clients and projects include disruptive models in payer strategies, streamlined pharmacy operations and innovative AI technologies that are changing the delivery of care. You’ll be involved in any or all of the following interdisciplinary projects: Finance across 340B Audits for Healthcare, Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT), Telehealth and Pharma Real World Evidence Trials, Healthcare Payer/Providers strategies, Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Cybersecurity (Financial) Risk Assessments for Healthcare, and Employee Benefits Programs and Medicaid Strategies. As our business intern, you can be part of a team that is helping shape the future of healthcare. 

REQUIREMENTS:
- Business Administration or related major
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Reliable and self-starter, prefers challenges, fast pace, new ideas, future focus, and unstructured environment.
- Excellent and demonstrated competency in understanding business principles as it applies to healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze business goals, objectives, and needs
- Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Perform research and analysis in support of operations
- Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data
- Estimate costs and benefits of multiple actions and/or solutions and provide recommendations
- Help launch new initiatives
- May perform additional projects upon request
- Able to be in office a set number of hours a week; flexible on working other hours remote
- Be open to feedback
- Bring innovative ideas to meetings
