Audit and Process Improvement Engineer

The starting salary listed is equivalent to a GS7 Step10 with Hartford, CT locality. The program the chosen employee will enter is 2.5 years in length and, if all requirements are met, the employee will be a GS12 Step1 at the end of the 2.5 years. This posting is for an Audit and Process Improvement Engineer at the Naval Sea Systems Command in Groton, Connecticut, also known as the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Groton (SUPSHIP Groton). We are an organization of engineers in the fields of mechanical, materials, electrical/electronics, naval architecture, nuclear, and ocean engineering.
 
Our Command is the liaison between the Department of the Navy and General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation (EB) and is engaged in the design and construction of nuclear powered submarines as well as repair and modernization of submarines in the fleet. Our Command’s responsibility is to administer all contracts, outfit the ships, and assure that all technical and quality assurance requirements are fully met.
