About the Role

Working directly with senior Stifel | Eaton Partners leadership and clients, the role offers a unique opportunity for Analyst to provide impact throughout all phases of a deal from inception to close all while gaining valuable client-facing experience. The Analyst conducts strategic research and supports team on the analysis of companies, industries and markets to support business development and M&A initiatives. Core day-to-day responsibilities will be assisting in the design and preparation of marketing materials, participate in calls and meetings with target clients, and preparing transaction memoranda for our clients. The Analyst role affords an opportunity to gain a deep experience in research, performing on both long-term and short-term projects. The role is an entrepreneurial one where candidates will be working alongside various industry and product leaders assisting them with marketing and business development related objectives including; market analysis and research, financial analysis, pitch book preparation and maintenance of industry M&A activity reports. 
 
What You’ll Do
·      Gain valuable first-hand experience within Investment Banking concepts and exposure to senior level investment banking team members
·      Assist Stifel | Eaton Secondary transactions teams in the build-out of comprehensive strategic company market landscapes for M&A-focused mandates, incorporating a strong ability to understand at a high-level a strategy, market position, industry value chain, operating and financial characteristics required for mandate execution
·      Support industry and company diligence for Stifel | Eaton Secondary transaction, financing, restructuring and marketing needs; provide comparable research to teams that is clean, error free and client-ready
·      Learn and apply basic financial analysis concepts and skills by preparing financial models (LBO, DCF, etc.) for Stifel | Eaton across industries and sectors to support mandate processes
·      Collaborate in the development of marketing collateral for Stifel | Eaton mandates including sale processes, financings, assessments and deal pitches
·      Develop subject matter expertise in key research tools, including but not limited to CapIQ
·      Maintain Stifel | Eaton transaction lists for key sectors and maintain proprietary database records 
·      Assisting in the preparation of external marketing materials such as high impact, client facing reports on investment trends and acquisitions 
·      Perform required research to support the creation of pitch books and company/industry reports
 
 
What We are Looking For
 
·      At least 1 year demonstrated experience and knowledge in investment banking environment (FTE capacity or prior internship experience)
·      BS or BA with exemplary academic record; solid finance/accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses
·      Strong ability to handle fluctuating priorities with efficiency and accuracy 
·      Process-oriented with strong time management skills and experience
·      Ability to conduct detailed research according to project needs
·      Exceptional written and oral communication skills; strong ability to manage-up to project teams 
·      Solid MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
