What you’ll be able to do:
- Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations
- Troubleshoot PLC, stamping press, robot, and other automation problems
- Update program backups for automation
- Program new installations of stamping press tooling and conveyor systems
- Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3 or more years of controls experience
OR
- Associate's degree in Engineering with 5 or more years of controls experience
Our preferred requirements
- Electrical background (technician or electrician)
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix)Electrical Background (electrician or technician)
- Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming, AB Servo and AB VFD drives
- Familiarity with VFD’s, Servo, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls
- Demonstrated leadership skills combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs
- Experience independently troubleshooting stamping press and body equipment and continuously evaluating equipment for improvement in quality and delivery
- Familiarity with Schuler presses
- ABB, Kuka and Fanuc robot experience
- Understanding of RS Logics, Step 7 (TIA Portal), Sy/Max, Unico pc terminology
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
- Past experience reading blueprints, utilizing AutoCAD, interpreting and modifying electrical schematics
- Strong understanding of stamping presses, conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO, Profinet
- Exposure to Simulation modeling
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- Familiarity with Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
- DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
- Understanding of TQM and Kaizen Methods
- FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
- Familiarity with Visual Factory Management systems
- Past experience working on automation campaigns
