3D Print & Design Consultant

Experience with 3D printing, mostly with the most common type of printers, FDM.

• Assume responsibility for the operation of 3D printing equipment and day to day lab operations to facilitate timely turnaround times
- Maintain equipment, including preventative maintenance such as routine calibrations, performing repair work, or working with the manufacturer to coordinate a repair
- Loading material and print files into the printers
- Post-processing and assembling components off the printers or other fabrication equipment, as needed

• Assume responsibility for the scheduling and tracking of 3D print jobs in collaboration with the rest of the lab, first by utilizing the current workflow, and eventually helping or leading the efforts to make continuous improvements with our workflow (ie. implement a digital Kanban board)

• Assume responsibility for raw material inventory, including reordering common consumables as stock gets low, and tracking high usage materials
• As needed, maintain primary point of contact responsible to meet with team leads and internal customers across divisions (MRL, MMD, Marketing, Product Packaging, AH, IT areas) to evaluate 3D requests as well as assist in making iterative modifications to the 3D models as required

• Assist in packaging for shipments or on-site delivering and meeting with internal collaborators, testing components at point of use as needed
