Position Details:

One regular, full-time position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside campus. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.

Salary Range: 31

Compensation: Starting at $7,175.00 per month (range 31, step 1).

Employees must make arrangements for the direct deposit of paychecks into the financial institution of their choice, via electronic fund transfer.

Benefits:

A full benefits package which includes employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employee and dependents; $100,000 employee life insurance; other optional coverages; and membership in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS).

The screening and interview committee will review application materials for up to three to four weeks following the closing date. Applicants selected for interview will be contacted by phone; those not selected for interview will be notified by e-mail once interview candidates have been scheduled.

Offer of employment to the person selected for this position is contingent upon 1) proof of being fully vaccinated* for COVID-19 or requesting and receiving approval for a medical or religious exemption; 2) successful completion of a pre-placement physical exam at district expense; 3) submission of a current tuberculosis test clearance; 4) proof of eligibility to work in the United States; 5) fingerprint clearance; and 6) approval by the Board of Trustees.

*Individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks or more after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (e.g. Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or two weeks or more after they have received a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson and Johnson [J&J/Janssen).
Retired STRS members are not eligible for this position.

Basic Function:

Under general supervision, coordinate, organize and oversee the Academic and Career Pathways (ACP) Success Teams to provide case management services to students through their onboarding, pathway participation, education planning, community building, applied learning, and other activities; collaborate with other high-touch programs on campus to coordinate service delivery; develop and engage in marketing and outreach activities to promote Academic and Career Pathways; and perform related duties as assigned.

1. Recruits, interviews, recommend hires, and trains staff.

2. Oversees scheduling, assignments, and the daily workflow of the department.

3. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
4. Exhibit an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, and employees, including those with physical or learning disabilities, and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.

5. Collaborate with other district programs on innovative, student-centered services, activities, and events to advance the equity goals of the ACP Success Teams.
6. Implement program policies and directives according to district, federal, or state guidelines.

7. Assist in the development, preparation, and administration of district and program budgets.

8. Maintain appropriate records and controls to assure that the program operates within established budget limitations and guidelines.

9. Plan and implement marketing strategies to promote services, events, and resources to students. Coordinate the development of marketing materials and conduct social media campaigns.

10. Design, implement and continuously improve case management services through ACP Success Teams.

11. Coordinate training and professional development for faculty, staff, student workers, and program volunteers.

12. Work with Business Systems Analysts to develop effective business processes for CRM technology system.

13. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate a variety of activities and programs for ACP students focused on career and education planning milestones.

14. Collect and analyze program data and share data with other departments to ensure effective service to students.

Education & Experience:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least two years of closely related experience managing an instructional or student services program; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in a post-secondary educational institution is preferred.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Previous experience working with case management or CRM technology.

2. Previous supervisory experience.

3. Demonstrated experience managing programs related to equity and student success.

4. Demonstrated experience collaborating across student services and instructional departments, and across various employee groups such as faculty, staff, and administrators.

Licenses & Other Requirements:

A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the district’s vehicle insurance program.

Primarily sedentary with intermittent standing, walking, bending and stooping; occasional light lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds; ability to travel to various locations on and off campus as needed to conduct district business.

Working Conditions:

Primarily business office environment; subject to frequent public contact and inter­ruption; inter­mittent exposure to individuals acting in a disagreeable fashion; may work at any district location or authorized facility with occasional evenings and/or week­ends on an as-needed basis. Occa­sional local travel may be requested.
