Applied Technology Technician, Entry Level

Do you have knowledge of radiological controls/qualifications? Or electrical work/trade skills? The Bettis Laboratory Site is hiring an entry level Applied Technology Technician! This position will perform work associated with preparation, assembly, configuration, operation, and maintenance of testing and production facilities, consistent with qualifications and assigned job task.

Candidate must perform laboratory operations associated with radioactive and non-radioactive materials, equipment, processes, procedures, and principles as required to support the goals of the laboratory on an assigned basis. Perform facility operations using standard procedures. Acquire fundamental skills and qualifications to perform routine work. Applicant will be expected to operate equipment such as, but not limited to, welding equipment, vacuum equipment, furnaces, pickling operations, waste processing equipment, presses, and rolling mills. Responsibilities also include working with drawings, sketches, detailed instructions, procedures, and acquired knowledge to use, assemble, test, evaluate, fabricate, manufacture, process, inspect, and record data associated with assigned tasks.
