Stanley X is building a Construction Technology platform to bring new digital services, workflow tools, and data transparency to the construction industry. Buildup is a newly acquired application within the Construction Technology platform. We have an exciting opportunity for an eager Sales Development Representative to join our Buildup team to drive our sales pipeline.
Buildup was designed with construction and development professionals in mind, providing an easy to use collaboration tool for task management, punch list and inspections. The mobile-first application allows users to document conditions, request action and communicate in the built environment. Used by owners, developers, GCs, subcontractors, architects/3rd party consultants and property managers, Buildup ensures that everyone is “on the same page” and projects are completed on-time.

Summary

We are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team targeting our construction/renovation and property management prospects. This position will work closely with an Account Executive in their territory, collaborating to help increase sales activity and help to continue to grow our company.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cold and warm calling (80+ phone calls/day) and sending emails out to the largest construction companies, real estate development companies, and their associated project personnel. Titles that you will be calling are the likes of: Heads of Construction; Heads of Property Operations; Directors of Construction; Directors of Operations; Project Managers, Superintendents and other similar titles
  • Coordinating with inbound leads to set up demos and reaching out to customers to up-sell on free trials.
  • Prospecting and conducting market research to help sales team strategize for future growth
  • Being an integral part of an entrepreneurial corporate team and a collaborative regional team that is dynamically hunting and farming new prospects and new projects
 
 
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years in proactive, outbound sales role in Apps/SaaS software or Construction, Property Management, or Real Estate Development industry
  • Graduated from BA/BS degree from a top-tier university with minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must have very strong communication skills, demonstrated high volume work ethic, and a “scoreboard mentality” of wanting to have visible measured success metrics
  • Ideally overachieving lead generation and/or closing business over the phone on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Demonstrated aptitude with apps and software
  • Experience or strong knowledge of the AEC space, Construction, Property Management, or Real Estate Development industry a plus
  • Experience working with a high volume of clients and transactions
  • Track record of being self-motivated and hard working
  • No fear of imperfect information or failure. Willing to constantly reach out to over the phone as well as email and LinkedIn to potential customers without hesitation of talking with strangers 
  • Ability to think “outside the box” in terms of sales strategy, ways to further increase sales pipelines
