The OIT Help Desk is currently hiring for Help Desk Support Analyst Student Employees. This position will be required to attend training prior to the start of each semester as scheduled. Flexible scheduling (subject to departmental requirements) is available during the semesters within the Help Desk hours (7am-11pm daily).
This position also works the OIT TechKnowledgy Bar located in the University Union.
The OIT Help Desk operates with a hybrid work location policy, designed to give student employees and full-time staff flexibility in their work. OIT, HR and Student Employment policies regarding remote/hybrid work are in development and will apply as they are available.
Equipment including a headset and UTD laptop will be provided. Remote work must be done within the DFW area.
The OIT Help Desk’s primary focus is to provide quality technical support to the UTD population for UTD systems and services, approved technologies, and connectivity on UTD networks. This support is provided over the phone and email, using remote access tools including chat, and in-person at the TechKnowledgy Bar.
This is a customer service position; interpersonal skills and customer service experience will weigh heavily as we consider your application.

Starting Hourly Rate: $9.00
