Gift Processor

The Morton Arboretum is a world-renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and growing trees locally and globally. We are seeking a gift processor to join our team to add and update information in our constituent relationship management platform, Salesforce. The successful candidate will have prior experience working in an advancement/development office, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, able meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team. You’ll be part of a great team working together to make the Arboretum exceptional.
 
Position Summary:
Responsible for timely, accurate, and confidential entry of donor and membership gifts; event registrations and constituent updates, within the constituent relationship management platform, Salesforce. Use advanced functions to export and import data from several third party platforms.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Accurately enter/update constituent information, including gift transactions, memberships, demographic information, and other related data in Salesforce. 
  • Assist with database integrity through continual audit of data, including the identification and merging of duplicate contact records, updating membership card data, and other related data. 
  • Responsible for donor event entry and related reporting.
  • Assist with departmental special events and projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
High school diploma required, some college experience preferred. Demonstrated computer and data entry proficiency and accuracy required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and experience using a fundraising database software preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills required. High degree of confidentiality required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred.

  • Physical Demands: Requires some physical activity: limited lifting and carrying (up to 20 lbs.).
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced office environment, with prolonged periods in front of a computer screen.
