PROJECT COORDINATOR-CONSTRUCTION

Universal Construction Resources, Inc, a fast growing General Contracting firm based in NYC is seeking a Project Coordinator for various projects in five boroughs of NYC. Universal has been in business for over 20 years and has completed several projects for various public clients including Schools, Community Centers, Apartment Complex, Libraries, Parking Structures and Recreational Facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers
  • Filing and managing all correspondences such as submittals, permits, etc
  • Assist estimating department with preparation of bids, request quotations and create bid checklists
  • Obtain and update insurances from subcontractors, maintain insurance logs
  • Create submittal logs and track these until proper distribution to subcontractors and job sites supers after approval from Architect.
  • Assist Project Engineer in subcontractor and material buyouts.

Required Abilities and Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self motivated with "can do" attitude and ability to think thru on issues
  • Highly organized, detail oriented with outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to multi-task, and work in fast pace environment
  • Must be well versed in Microsoft Office.

Experience and Education
  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years Construction industry experience preferred
  • Salary commensurate with experience
